Welcome

Beach life at its best

Fort Morgan is the quiet end of Alabama's Gulf Coast — uncrowded beaches, a laid-back pace and houses instead of high-rises. All-Moh's-Paradise sits a short walk from the beach path, with an open living area and fully equipped kitchen for gathering, and a king primary suite on its own level with a private Gulf-view balcony.

Spend the day on the sand, rinse off in the ground-level half bath, fire up the grill, then watch the sky turn gold from the porch. When you want more, historic Fort Morgan and the Mobile Bay Ferry are minutes away and Gulf Shores is about half an hour east.

A day at All-Moh’s-Paradise

Sunrise to sand to sunset

One easy Fort Morgan day, from first coffee to the last walk on the beach.

  1. A balcony chair and lantern looking out over the water

    7:00 AM

    Sunrise coffee on the balcony

Pour a cup at the coffee station and carry it up to the bistro table. The Gulf is glassy, the dunes are quiet, and the only traffic is pelicans.

  2. Weathered boardwalk through sea oats to the sand

    9:30 AM

    Down the beach path

Pack the chairs and the cooler — it’s a short walk along the sandy path to wide, uncrowded Fort Morgan beach. On a weekday in May you may have a stretch of it to yourself.

  3. Brick walls and sally port of Fort Morgan, at the mouth of Mobile Bay

    1:00 PM

    An afternoon at Fort Morgan

A few minutes west (about 2 miles), the brick walls of Fort Morgan (completed 1834) guard the mouth of Mobile Bay. Walk the ramparts, then ride the Mobile Bay Ferry to Dauphin Island and watch for dolphins.

  4. Gas grill in a sheltered outdoor nook

    5:30 PM

    Fire up the grill

Rinse off in the ground-level half bath, light the grill and put some Gulf shrimp on — Bon Secour Fisheries sells them fresh. Dinner for eight at the big table.

  5. Sunset over a Gulf Coast beach (stock footage still)

    Golden hour

    Sunset, then crabs by flashlight

Walk the beach at dusk and the ghost crabs come out — bring a flashlight for the kids.

Sample review

“We came for the beach and stayed on the balcony. Coffee at sunrise, the kids down on the sand by nine, shrimp on the grill by six — that was the whole plan, every day.”
